Amy was born and raised on a small family farm in Sandwich, IL where they raised crops, cattle and swine. Early on, she discovered a deep love for animals as she bottle fed baby calves, cared for pigs, dogs and cats. She showed cross-bred steers in 4-H for 10 years and was active in FFA throughout high school. She attained both the State FFA Degree and American FFA Degree (awarded to less than 1% of FFA Members). Amy pursued her love of animals by attaining her Associates in Veterinary Medical Technology from Joliet Junior College and then attained her license from the state to be a Certified Veterinary Technician. She worked in Veterinary Medicine for 18 years. Needing a change of pace, Amy started her real estate career in August 2021 when she accepted the position as an Administrative Assistant. Her transferrable skills and “can-do” attitude made the switch to a different industry seamless. Amy jumped in with both feet and attained her real estate license in April of 2022. Amy met her husband, Drew, in 2009 and married in 2014. They have made their home less than 2 miles from Amy's family farm. She is thankful to be able to raise their two children in a rural community, teach them about farming, animals and the value of hard work. In her spare time, Amy enjoys spending time with her family in the great outdoors, hiking, biking, swimming and gardening. Growing up on the farm, a strong work ethic is a MUST!. Amy carries her work ethic into all areas of her life; she works hard not only for her family, but for yours!
